30th Anniversary of My Debut
It was September 16, 1994. Exactly 30 years ago, I made my operatic debut in Verdi’s Macbeth with the San Francisco Opera under the baton of Maestro Runnicles. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to still be performing, learning, growing and creating. I would not be here without the support and mentorship of some amazing artists just to name a few; Jan DeGaetani, Margaret Bossi, Blanche Thebom, Rick Duthe, Newman Taylor Baker, Laurie Feldman, Ian Robertson, Donald Runnicles, Christina Scheppelmann.
Since my move to Germany all those years ago first to Staatstheater Augsburg, then to Staatstheater Nürnberg , my most enduring relationship has been with the Staatstheater Wiesbaden for 23 years I have had the honour of performing and creating with the most extraordinary group of artists and musicians. Thank You!
Looking towards the future, there will be more Sing Sistah Sing!© more work with Florentina Holzinger in Sancta and I will continue to be open to new creative connections.
What a ride so far! I may be a wee bit older but my passion for performance has not dimmed since my first gig as a kid at church. These photos are just a snapshot of my time in the opera game, I am feeling so grateful.
