Spring Update!
Well, as we continue in lockdown there would appear to be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel!
As we all await our Blue Envelope invitation to be vaccinated, plans have begun to take shape for a busy summer and autumn. Since December, I have been deep in the podcast world, having joined The Big Light podcast family as a regular guest on the weekly show Talk Media in addition to a new 11 episode series about all things Nevis Ensemble, Scotland’s Street Orchestra, which dropped on March 15th. Check out my new Nevis Ensemble and Radio/Podcast pages here on the website for sounds, video, links and more!
There are more performances coming into my Sing Sistah Sing! diary as well. First up, France! I am preparing my first show in French with translations by my artistic director Carolyn Sittig. I am also excited to announce a new collaboration with the amazing pianist Hildegard Pohl for the opening of Theatre Basse Passiere in Normandy on the 11th and 12th of June and in Germany on August 8th at the Pocket Festival of Music and Culture. A new feature to the show in France will be an art installation and storytelling feature by Carolyn and we will be doing a choral gospel workshop as well.
We all now know nothing in these Covid times is 100% guaranteed, but with outdoor facilities and social distancing protocols in place, these planned performances should go ahead. All details will be available on my live performance page as soon as they become available.
Opera has really been absent since lockdown began, but I am delighted to announce that I will be performing in a new opera, Die Krönung der Schöpfung, presented by Produktion FMK directed by Teresa Reiber, with composer and music director, Ruth Wiesenfeld in Berlin in September. Watch this space for exact performance dates and tickets.
So, as we slowly come out of lockdown, as I get my voice, mind and body back in shape for a return to performance, I will continue to keep you updated and I hope to see you at a future performance soon! #JoinTheCelebration and #StaySafe.
